Policies, Procedures & Client Expectations

Where therapeutic touch meets nervous system healing.

Thank you for choosing Marisela In Session. My goal is to provide a professional, intentional, and personalized experience where your body has the space to slow down, release tension, and restore.

Please review the following policies before booking. By scheduling an appointment, you acknowledge and agree to these policies.

1. APPOINTMENT BOOKING & DEPOSITS

All appointments require a deposit to secure the appointment time.

An appointment is not considered fully confirmed until the required deposit has been received.

Your deposit will be applied toward the total cost of your scheduled service.

Deposits are not additional fees; they are a portion of your service payment held to reserve your appointment.

Payment Options

Deposits may be made through the payment method provided at the time of booking.

The remaining balance is due at the completion of your appointment unless otherwise arranged in advance.

2. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING

I understand that things happen. However, appointment times are reserved specifically for each client.

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Less than 24 hours’ notice:

Your deposit will be forfeited.

No-show:

A missed appointment without notice will result in forfeiture of the deposit and may require payment of the full service balance before another appointment can be scheduled.

Repeated cancellations, rescheduling, or no-shows may result in the inability to book future appointments.

3. LATE ARRIVALS

Your appointment begins and ends at the scheduled time.

If you arrive late, your session will be shortened accordingly so that the next client’s appointment can begin on time.

The full price of the scheduled service remains due.

Late time cannot be added to the end of your appointment.

For example, if your appointment is scheduled for 2:00–3:30 PM and you arrive at 2:15 PM, your session will still end at 3:30 PM.

Traffic, construction, weather, parking, or difficulty finding the location are not exceptions to the scheduled appointment time. Please plan accordingly.

More than 15 minutes late

If you are more than 15 minutes late and have not communicated with me, your appointment may be considered a no-show and your deposit may be forfeited.

4. SAME-DAY APPOINTMENTS

Same-day appointments are available only when my schedule allows.

Same-day requests may be subject to a $25–$50 convenience fee, depending on the timing and circumstances of the request.

Same-day appointments are not held without a deposit.

If you inquire about a same-day appointment but do not respond or complete the deposit within the requested timeframe, I reserve the right to release the appointment to another client.

A request for availability does not reserve the appointment.

5. SERVICE SELECTION & PRICING

Each service has been intentionally designed with a specific treatment approach, amount of therapeutic work, and price.

The Reset Session

A Return to Stillness

A customized, flowing therapeutic massage designed to release general tension, reduce stress, and support relaxation and restoration.

90 minutes — $135

Detox & Flow

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage

A gentle, rhythmic technique designed to support lymphatic flow, reduce swelling, and promote a lighter, refreshed feeling.

60 minutes — $140

90 minutes — $190

The Integrative Session

A more comprehensive therapeutic session combining massage techniques and modalities based on the client’s needs.

This service is appropriate when a client requires a more extensive, focused, or multi-modality treatment approach.

90 minutes — $225

120 minutes — $300

6. ADDITIONAL MODALITIES & ENHANCEMENTS

Additional techniques and enhancements may be available depending on the service selected.

Hot Stones/Cupping

$25

Hot stones/Cupping are enhancements and are not automatically included with the Reset SesSimon.

Other specialized techniques or enhancements may require an additional fee or an upgrade to the Integrative Session.

Important:

Additional services are not complimentary simply because they have been incorporated into a previous appointment.

Pricing applies to the service being provided at the time of the current appointment.

7. YOUR THERAPIST’S PROFESSIONAL JUDGMENT

You are encouraged to communicate:

• Areas of discomfort
• Areas you would like addressed
• Pressure preferences
• Treatment goals
• Comfort concerns
• Previous experiences that may affect your session

However, the therapist determines the appropriate treatment approach based on professional judgment, the service selected, your health history, and how your body responds during the session.

Clients may request specific techniques, but not every requested technique will be appropriate or indicated for every individual.

Techniques may be modified, substituted, or declined when necessary.

Your body gives us information during the session.

My role is not simply to follow a predetermined list of requests. My role is to assess what your body is communicating and provide the most appropriate treatment within the scope of the service you’ve booked.

8. SERVICE CHANGES DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT

If you arrive for one service and decide that you would like additional therapeutic work, modalities, or enhancements, we will discuss the available options and any additional cost before the additional service is performed.

Examples may include:

• Hot stones
• Extended stretching
• Additional focused therapeutic work
• Specialized techniques
• Additional modalities

Please do not assume that an enhancement or technique is included because it was provided during a previous appointment.

9. CLIENT DIRECTION & TREATMENT FLOW

I absolutely want you to communicate what your body needs.

However, there is an important difference between communicating your needs and directing every technique, sequence, or movement of the massage.

You hired me for my training, experience, and professional judgment.

You are welcome to say:

“My shoulders are really bothering me today.”

or

“I prefer lighter pressure.”

From there, I will determine how best to approach the session within the service you selected.

This allows me to create a treatment that is intentional rather than simply checking off a list of requested techniques.

10. HEALTH HISTORY & DISCLOSURE

Please provide accurate and complete health information before receiving massage therapy.

You are responsible for informing me of any changes to your health, medications, injuries, surgeries, pregnancy, medical conditions, or other circumstances that may affect your massage session.

Massage therapy may be modified, postponed, or declined when necessary for safety.

When appropriate, you may be advised to seek clearance from your physician or other qualified healthcare provider before receiving massage therapy.

11. PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES

Marisela In Session maintains a professional therapeutic environment.

All massage services are strictly professional.

Sexual comments, sexual behavior, inappropriate requests, harassment, or violation of professional boundaries will result in immediate termination of the session.

The client remains responsible for payment for the scheduled service.

12. RESPECTFUL COMMUNICATION

I value open communication and want you to feel comfortable expressing your needs.

At the same time, respectful communication is expected from both sides.

Repeated disrespectful communication, disregard for policies, excessive demands outside the scope of the booked service, or behavior that interferes with my ability to provide professional services may result in termination of the client relationship.

I reserve the right to decline future appointments when I determine that continuing the professional relationship is not appropriate.

13. APPOINTMENT TIMES ARE VALUABLE

When you book an appointment, that time is removed from my availability and reserved specifically for you.

Please arrive prepared and on time.

I also have responsibilities to clients scheduled before and after you. For that reason, I cannot extend an appointment because of a late arrival, late start, lengthy conversation, or other delay.

Your appointment time belongs to your scheduled session — not to an open-ended block of time.

Marisela In Session operates from multiple professional locations.

Your confirmation message will include the specific address for your appointment.

Please verify your appointment location before leaving for your session.

If you are unsure where to go, please contact me before your appointment time, rather than waiting until your scheduled start time.

15. OUT-CALL SERVICES

Out-call massage services are available by arrangement.

Out-call appointments are subject to:

Standard service rate + $30 traveling fee

Additional travel requirements may affect availability and pricing.

16. PRICING & POLICY CHANGES

Service pricing and policies may be updated as the business evolves.

The price applicable to your appointment is the price associated with the service selected at the time of booking.

Previous pricing, previous promotions, complimentary enhancements, or previous service arrangements do not establish a permanent price or guarantee that the same service will be provided at the same rate in the future.

My goal is to provide you with excellent therapeutic massage while maintaining a sustainable, professional practice.
